As COVID-19 social distancing and self quarantining continues, some people are going stir crazy not able to go and do the things we want to do. Listed below are some alternative ideas:

Talk online and ask friends if they’re OK.
Many of us have access to devices that allow us to stay in touch with our family, friends and colleagues online. If you know people that live alone or might be doing it extra tough during this time, reach out with a friendly message asking them if they’re OK. If they say they’re fine but you’re concerned they might be struggling, give them a call, ask again and let them know you’re here for them. For tips on how to ask, visit

Stay social.
Don’t cancel your regular dinner or work social time, just move it online or over the phone. You might be seeing people face-to-face less often, but continuing to socialize with family and friends and will help you feel more connected and give you a sense of normality.
Play online games with friends.
Online gaming is a great way to stay connected with friends while keeping up some friendly competition. Play together and have a talk while you’re at it.
Start a Video Chat on House Party.
Houseparty is the face-to-face social network where you can connect with the people you care about most. The app makes connecting face to face effortless, alerting you when your friends are “in the house” and ready to chat so you can jump right into the conversation. The same goes for you opening the app! Your friends will know you’re in the app and ready to chat, so they can join you (…because rejected calls are so last year). Houseparty is truly the next best thing to hanging out in person. See your friends more often on Houseparty.
Join a The Virtual Hangout on ZOOM
With the Zoom mobile app on Android and iOS, you can start or join a meeting. By default, the Zoom mobile app displays the active speaker view. If one or more participants join the meeting, you will see a video thumbnail in the bottom-right corner. You can view up to four participants' video at the same time.
